Pros

Had the privilege of helping to make a difference in patients’ lives. Made wonderful friendships with coworkers.

Cons

This company is the definition of an evil corporation. 94% unrealistic productivity that can only be achieved if you are either working off the clock, billing unethically aka billing for time that is not billable per CMS guidelines, or literally bringing the shared laptop in the bathroom with you to document while you exercise your God-given right to stop and use the toilet. You are worth nothing more than a number on a spreadsheet to this company. Staff level therapists are shown zero appreciation. It does not matter how many years you have remained loyal and worked for them, come in on weekends, holidays, picked up extra treatment, nothing. Were you 94% today? That’s all that matters. No performance reviews or raises or bonuses (unless you are management) Select Rehab pressures over-utilization and inappropriate use of part B services and groups and dictates to therapists how much treatment delivery is allowed or required (all payor sources) If you are a new grad, do yourself a favor and stay away from this company as well as any other contract therapy company no matter how much student loan debt you have or how good the money might sound. You will be molded into a poor example of what it is to be a therapist and are basically selling your soul to the devil. The therapists in this country need to take our profession back and it is companies like Select Rehab and the unfortunate souls that work for them that have contributed to our detriment. The abuse of therapists is horrifying and especially sad because they are taking advantage of people who are highly caring people by nature. You can imagine what that does to a person’s mental health. Combine that with an over saturated market with therapists who have tons of student loan debt and you have exactly what they want: Therapists who are too scared to stand up for what is right for fear of losing their jobs and so they do whatever they’re told. It’s no wonder that so many therapists are leaving the profession. I quit this company last year and couldn’t be happier where I’m at now!

Pros

Training is good for regular employees. Pay is great. Typical productivity standards for SNF, Assistants are expected to be at 90%. No company match for 401k, but PRN employees are allowed to put in so that is nice.

Cons

Manager training is lacking, especially if it's your first time as a DOR in SNF.
