Awful place to work - Warehouse Worker Stirchley Selco Builders Warehouse Employee Review

I had been there for years and my salary only ever went up by about 10p above the minimum wage. The company doesn't care about its employees, it just cares about how much money it can make. You're always freezing cold in the winter because the building has no heating, or in the summer you're boiling hot because there is no air con. There is no security on site first thing in the morning or for the last few hours at night and at night very few staff so there was always that threat of being robbed, and the store was always being broken into after hours and people are always shop lifting when it's open because the management can't be bothered to put decent security measures in place. if you want to shop lift, do it at night when minimal staff are on as they have been told not to confront you. customers were always rude to us but management never put up signs saying to respect the staff etc. Management just don't care which is why they have such a high turnover.
