Pros
Super skilled, super smart co-workers. Most of the people I worked directly with were great people - kind, smart, hardworking, and talented. Flexible remote work, decent benefits Interesting industry and projects, great customers and great product team that is diligently working to create a valuable, sticky product
Cons
The work environment at SCW is extremely toxic, with an overwhelming workload that negatively affects employee performance and well-being. The negativity and excessive demands have made it impossible for any of us to thrive. It's important to note that this issue stems from leadership's failure to address underlying concerns - which have been raised on multiple occasions- creating a culture that contradicts the values they claim to uphold. There is a significant lack of clear career paths and opportunities for advancement within the organization. The absence of support from the CEO and CMO, particularly in mentoring and coaching, has hindered the professional growth of not only the marketing team- but employees at SCW in general. There is little to no transparency around business decisions, big bets, or changes to staffing. Senior Leadership lacks a clear vision or the strategic prowess to put this company on the path of growth and scaling-up that absolutely needs to happen in order for it to remain profitable and competitive. There has been little to no development in differentiating features in the product for years, with a future-looking roadmap and competent product management only coming online very recently. Leadership is also highly oppositional to employee feedback around improving this, often resorting to managing people out through persistent negativity, or letting people get so burnt out they leave on their own accord.
