Great science, lousy culture - Anonymous employee Seagen Employee Review

If you have experience working at other biopharma companies, you`ll be disappointed with the antiquated, inadequate, poorly thought out systems, operations and culture the company has in place. The majority of the staff seem to have not worked at other biopharma companies; most seem to have been here for 20 years. There`s a culture similar to that of a good-ol'-boy organization in certain departments. Middle management seems to have little training in how to be good leaders, how not to be micromanagers or how to treat people with respect. There seems to be a general lack of awareness and often knowledge of industry standards and regulatory expectations. These inadequacy's make it doubly difficult for newly hired, highly experienced staff.
