Pros

Working in this position at SeaCrest Group has been a wonderful start to my career, it is my first full-time position after getting my undergraduate degree. The work environment is great, my coworkers and managers are dedicated, respectful, and hard-working individuals. My managers are always willing to teach (or in some cases reteach) anything I need or am curious about, and are extremely empathetic and patient. Recently, we had a shift in the company's management, and it seems as though the new owner is eager to make this company even better.

Cons

The biggest downfall of this position is the low pay. With this being an entry-level position, low pay is to be expected, but inflation has made the wage almost unlivable without my 2 other part-time jobs.

Pros

I would begin by saying that the work itself is enjoyable, and that the everyday tasks are not very challenging to grasp. If the job was solely based on how well you could do your work and your positive attitude, then it would be great. The smaller staff makes it easy to communicate with each other, and the coworkers themselves are very amazing.

Cons

The biggest problem is the immaturity from management and HR. While management is young and with little experience, I believe the issue more so has to do with the harmful personality they manifest. Regularly, managers make very inappropriate comments about others' appearance and personality, only for HR to be present and laugh it off while egging on the terrible behavior. It is devastating that HR, who is supposed to help mitigate unprofessional behavior and toxic work environments, is corrupted at Seacrest. The nature of these comments are highly offensive and insecure, which only serves to demonstrate the disposition of the manager, herself. The culture at Seacrest is one of tampering down any moral, constructive criticism towards management, for fear that these nasty comments be turned around and used as retaliation. Try as you will, if understandable mistakes are made during training, but managers personally dislike you, condescending excuses will be made to push you out of spaces. The inclusivity is extremely lacking, and the stress of the personal drama imposed by supervisors, sadly clouds any benefits you enjoy about the work itself. In regards to the work, poor scheduling at the hands of supervisors is misconstrued as a lack of effort and integrity on the employee's part. Heavy micromanaging during training lead to honest trip ups by workers who are then made out to be negligent. The effort of new employees is chronically belittled. I would be cautious of 5 star reviews on these websites in regard to the company, as many of them have been made from the problematic management in order to boost reviews (as supported by the job title that is submitted with the review).
