Very heterogeneous technologies. Fluid working environment with a lot of potential for cross boundary work. Now picking up a lot more international work (as of April 2013). Election night is crazy--company does a good job of stocking us up with food and games for a long day.
Cons
With the good (high energy startup mentality), comes the bad--it can get chaotic. Sometimes ideas are heavily worked on for weeks and then put on the back burner or quickly dropped.
Great people and a casual work atmosphere. Extremely interesting work focused around civic engagement and eDemocracy. New operational management structure that has really set things in the right direction (new COO was high level exec for Omniture/Adobe and led high growth start-up). Great office location. Great PTO. Great benefits (if you're single healthcare is free). Gym on site.
Cons
Turnover. 2015 was a tough year with the shift in organizational direction and some good people were lost. Management doesn't seem to truly understand the effects of their decision on the long-term health of the organization. Benefits not great for family. Running a lean ship right now. Lack of autonomy from corporate headquarters in Barcelona. Little room for movement within the organization.
