Pros
There are a lot of great people in the trenches here. Benefits are ok (401k is great, 5% match, fully vested from day 1), PTO is good if you make it past the first year, work from home Fridays.
Cons
There used to be the CEO, a level of Directors, a Manager level, then everyone else. Now there's the CEO, VPs, Senior Directors, Directors, Managers, Leads then everyone else. The Board of Directors is terrible. They look out for their personal business interests instead of what is best for the organization. There's no clear vision. There have been 3 CEOs in as many years and they're looking for a new one. Most of the VPs and Directors are not qualified for their positions. None of them come from the software development community and they don't recognize that that community is where Scrum started and is our bread and butter. There's no clear path for development. From what I can see you can be completely incompetent and underqualified and be promoted. It's a matter of how much you let the various CEOs "mentor" you. You can be terrible at your job, have employees that are unhappy, lose money, make bad financial decisions and still get praised, promoted and raises.
