Pros
- Amazing students and faculty - Great mission - Beautiful campus, good dining hall (with free food!) - The consortium
Cons
- Not forward thinking when it comes to operations and behind in many ways - Salaries are all over the place, many on the very low side, seems related to favoritism, not skills. Refuse to post/publicize salaries despite clear evidence of how that penalizes women and minoritized people, which is frustrating given its role as a women's college - Incredibly limited IT support and services (the college has not invested in this area enough) - Lack of compliance and leadership that doesn't seem to care - Lack of job knowledge in many positions (likely related to salary) - Turnover has been wild, even for great recession standards, and people act like it's normal - "positive" culture where problem solving and looking to make things better is considered negative and lots of unsubstantial and mediocre work is rewarded. - lots of consultants being paid a lot despite huge cuts to pay/retirement for staff through pandemic
