Pros
I worked in an individual office rather than a hospital, so I got to know the small group of people very well. I also didn't have to constantly report to someone higher up other than short monthly phone calls. Because I was in an office, I was able to learn one area very well.
Cons
Poor pay for someone who is someone specialized (you can't get this job without some background in science, college-level courses). I also had to travel about 45 minutes to the job because they wanted to put in the first opening rather than something closer to me.
