Pros
The hours were great and the overtime availability was abundant.
Cons
The worst part about working here had everything to do with the management I was put under. I started at entry level, I worked hard and pushed myself passed limits I didn't know I could reach. I went from entry level to training lead, safety lead, and in the running for team lead (friendly competition between coworkers is always fun) My hard work was acknowledged by plant managers, supervisors and other coworkers. I loved my job. For the first time ever, I loved my job. My supervisor left the company to start his own company, so my teammates and myself were split up and put under new management. I've worked with this manager before on several projects and he seemed like a nice guy but everything changed as soon as I was put under his thumb. He cussed at me and my coworkers, he threatened us, the works. I had brought it to my plant managers attention asked to be transferred to different department they told me no because I was too good at my job and needed me there. On several occasions this man had belittled me, cursed at me and just overall became very unprofessional. I had never thought it was because I was a woman up until the day he wrote me up because I lifted my over shirt up to wipe sweat off my face and my under shirt was exposed, he said I broke dress code.. meanwhile the men who work directly under him wore cut offs every day. Holes so big you can see thier nipples. I stood up to him, and because I'm a female who works just as hard as a man, he felt threatened. I suppose he felt as though he needed to put me in my place.. they fired me after a death in the family, they said it was because I couldn't work. Moral of my story is, I worked hard, harder than I ever have before for a job, the management I was under in the beginning encouraged me, taught me, and pushed me to be a better version of myself for my work. Once that management changed, I changed. I was no longer looked forward to going to work. I wasnt as cordial with other coworkers. Everyone who came across me I always made smile I always said good morning, once the attitude of the management I was under because harsh and unprofessional, my attitude changed as well.
