Pros
It's an ESOP, so if you can stomach to be there long enough there is a retirement plan (if they are still in business by the time you retire). There are some nice perks, i.e. free concert tickets, gym membership, discounts to local venues.
Cons
Senior management should be ashamed of the way they conduct business and the working conditions that are provided to employees. They rave on and on about the "charms of working in an old building". The truth is, it's ridiculously cold with poor heat circulation, prone to pipes bursting and mold. Employees are reprimanded for using space heaters despite the fact the building stays about 50 degrees throughout the winter, because they may short out the building. Somehow though, it is ok for senior management to sit in their comfortable end of building with space heaters running. It is also a miracle that no health code violations have been reported on this company due to the fact they allow dogs with no rules to go along with it. It is not uncommon to stumble upon a "dog mess" left on the office floor, never mind the incessant barking all day. There is a lot of hypocrisy and a lot politics here; if you are not "in good" or related to someone important in town, there is no shot of being successful at this company.
