Pros

The majority of my work was field sales , flexibility and term time were key elements to the post. The staff I worked with were great and made some long term friends during my fixed term contract.

Cons

Being a fixed term contract meant that I bonded with the company and it left me deflated when I had to finish my term. The business model was very sporadic, management made decisions and changes too often, very cliquey .

Pros

A great company to work for, offers a good work life balance for its hard working staff. Customers are at the heart of everything the company does. The company is Employee Owned so everyone is able to be involved in key decisions. School Trends completes regular staff questionnaires to get feedback from its staff and make improvements. It recently won Gold Investors In People status as it invests in training and improving its people to meet our school and parent customer needs. As a current employee I'd recommend School Trends as a good place to work.

Cons

Lack of investment in the building but this is due to keeping garments cheaper for customers who are at the heart of everything the company does

Pros

Unique people-centred culture, caring and inclusive with opportunities to grow and progress. Staff are shareholders (employee owned) so they have a say in most things, lots of information shared - good and bad. Family feel, loyal and committed workers in the main. Job security high.

Cons

Decision making is sluggish - takes too long to 'move with the times'. Lack of investment in IT infrastructure makes getting work done difficult sometimes. Over tolerance of under performance means some people go unchallenged for too long.
