Pros
- The pay is very competitive compared to other similar companies in the EdTech space, and other software/finance companies in general. We are a small team so your value is much more appreciated and your impact on our products is so much greater, and this is reflected in the pay.
- The team is very fun and very diverse - we are very social at work and it won't take long for you to feel like you're part of a family here.
- The CEO is fantastic - every team member interacts with him regularly every single day, and there is no delay or need to schedule a meeting if you want to have a chat with him. His desk is only a few steps away and he's very approachable.
- Another great thing about the CEO is that he is very technical, as this business started with him as the sole employee and developer. As such, you will never be given tasks that are "impossible" or too hard (as might happen if you're working somewhere where the boss has no idea how the product actually works), and if you ever have any technical questions about the product - he always has all the answers. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the NSW DoE and their products, and how schools (our clients) work, because he worked at a school before he started this business.

- We hold a lot of regular team-building events. We recently went bouldering (there's a place right across the road from our office), and every fortnight or so we have a BBQ for lunch at work.
Cons
The team is still small so all employees have a lot of responsibility - so there may be a steep learning curve for some less experienced new employees.
