Pros
#1 Great learning curve. You learn A LOT about corporate business. #2 State of the art products #3 Coworkers are friendly, nice, and always willing to share their knowledge
Cons
#1 Completely obtuse and close minded. They are still living in the 20th Century in all corporate fields (HR, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance). I don't understand why don't they update their mindsets and use 21st Century resources. #2 Promotion from Mid to upper management is impossible, unless you have extreme superb political skills. There is no meritocracy at all. Only preferred people who are friends with senior executives are the ones who get promoted, especially with military background, #3 They treat their elevator technicians and mechanics very poorly. How long will it take for senior executive mangers to realize that you can't run a successful elevator business, if the core employees of the business don't know anything about the elevator business? #4 No HR Career Development or Company Culture Environment #5 If Schindler is such a known and highly regarded company, then pay and benefits should be better. #6 Close to zero marketing development at all. It's like they don't believe in marketing, yet they hire marketers who do nothing useful #7 Huge gap between what sales people promise to clients and what the actual operations department can deliver, hence frustrated clients who eventually leave, which in turn frustrate employees who also leave.
