Pros
Friendly dogs,entry level, dogs again.
Cons
If you start as a scent tech/trimmer in training be prepared to spend multiple years there to even get trained. Nobody knows what they are doing not management or corporate, the way you will be trained won't be useful to you because of the overfilled schedule, speaking of, you will be scheduled from the minute you walk in to the one you leave, do you need an extra 5 minutes to take complete care of your dog? Too bad now you are behind schedule and management will be sure to let you know, they will give you 15 minutes to do a bath even if the shampoo has to sit for 10 extra minutes , there is no room to grow unless you are willing to be stopped on and taken advantage of for a really long time, you will be reminded that you are expendable as the Friends you make at work leave because of the terrible corporate management and the abuse only for them to be replaced with some other poor soul who you will probably have to train even though you yourself havent been properly train. Corporate scenthound cares more about opening new branches rather than fixing the ones that have been problems for multiple years. When I started I was lucky enough to have a manager who not only knew a lot about dogs but also about how to train and take care of her workers, sadly she doesn't work there anymore new management is okay but have no dog experience which doesnt make sense. To wrap up, even though Scenhound likes to say that their motto is dog first the truth is that they value money more than anything you will be molded into a just a cog of a malfunctioning machine who doesnt care weather your dog is well washed or comfortable as long as you are on scheduled, the only time they have a problem with doing a bad job is if the costumer notices.
