Pros
- Savatree cares about personal development and growth, and provides opportunity for advancement for all jobs (Tree Care, Plant Health Care, Management, Etc) - I know what is expected of me at work each day and I know what needs to be done for me to advance or improve - Savatree asks for feedback and asks for employees to share opinions and perspective - Pay is fair and competitive if you have a strong work ethic - Not micromanaged - Managers sincerely care about employees and want to see people succeed - This is not a rinky-dink 'jo blow' tree service, this is a team of professionals that has high standards and asks for employees to hold themselves to high standards - Inclusive to people of different ethnicity/ backgrounds - Cares about safety and takes safety very seriously
Cons
- Very understaffed at both corporate and within certain branches. It does not feel as though they are able to patch holes as quickly as they appear, leaving a larger work load on certain employees. - Certain people at corporate seem to not acknowledge they have an email, and we have to constantly follow up in order to get an answer which is disruptive to the decision making process within branches and day to day work flow. - Regarding the insurance 'benefits' that we were provided in 2023, the lower level plan offered ZERO doctors within 150 miles at certain branches, meaning employees at these branches had to pay for the very costly top teir plan just to be covered for a simple doctor visit. Whoever savatree put in charge of finding and approving medical plans in 2023 seemed to either dismiss or ignore a large portion of their work force, or otherwise assumed that all employees can afford the more expensive option. I hope to see a major change in this area in 2024. - The technology programs we use are terrible and everyone has lost hope anything will be done to improve that so we just deal with it.
