Pros
They provide a catered lunch for the onsite staff. That is pretty much the only good thing. And even that had a black mark on it after I heard the CEO say he does it so people work more and don't leave.
Cons
I think Sapient is quite possibly the most dysfunctional and worst company I have ever worked for. Management is completely inept and struggling to keep their heads above water. It is rather astounding watching how bad they are and how many poor decisions are made on a daily basis. Things that I thought were standard operating procedures at all companies and seemed pretty basic are unfortunately not present here and/or mgmt. has found a way to bumble it up completely. This is probably the result of almost the entire management have zero industry experience and/or having zero experience related to their job function. It’s always advisable to do background research on the company you are applying at and I cannot stress the importance of this enough for this company. I would recommend reading the leadership bios on the company website prior to interviewing and ask yourself if you want to work for a leadership team with that type of knowledge base and experience. In addition to the ineptness, leadership constantly lies about literally everything. You can just google what they say and disprove it immediately. This is one of the reasons why the culture is so unbelievably bad. All you hear over and over again is lie after lie and after about a month of working here you realize all the gaps in their stories. Other issues at the company include what seems to be a lack of work-life balance for the majority of people. There also seems to be massive favoritism. The benefits are sub-par. The culture is toxic. Chaos, dysfunction, and dissatisfaction are the highlights of each day. The CEO thinks that a happy hour at a bar and a day at the beach is going to fix the massive issues that are going on. It seems as though everyone here is looking for a new job. Not kidding – it’s become a running joke as to who is going to leave next. One of my coworkers described it as walking into a morgue/funeral home. I cannot stress enough how bad of a company Sapient is and in my opinion you should stay as far away from it as possible.
