Pros
Stable: career-wise, a waste of your time and life, but if you just needed an income and had something outside of this job, it might be for you. Flex-time: core time is 10:00am - 3:00pm, you may leave early/arrive late, but might want to check with your department and give them a heads-up first. Little overtime: I barely had 5 hours OT per month, and I could have cut it down to zero (in my department, it varies from department to department). I also know people who purposely leave their work until 5pm and stay behind just to earn extra from OT. Co-workers: Most people are nice & friendly. Holidays: You can actually use ALL your yearly paid vacations without fear. The company actually encourages you to do so. Good for them :)
Cons
Salary: Mid-Low Career advancement: Traditional and mostly by seniority despite they say overwise. You need to suck up to the right people for advancement. Productivity: Low. Takes forever to get anything done. The plus side, you can take many days to complete a simple task if you choose to. Management: Awful. Virtually no effective management. Remember most people are nice and friendly, yes, and those who are jerks tend to be high ranking directors/officers. Those people are really good at making toxic and demoralizing comments, power-harassing others, and think they are above the rules and everyone else.
