There is so much to say. This company expanded very quickly and is absolutely focused on profits over patients. Patients that were totally inappropriate and unsafe for this level of care were routinely admitted because admission is the most lucrative part of the process. There were constantly clients being kicked out because they never should have been admitted in the first place. There were frequent fights, and the police had to be called often. The on-site leadership was very young, inexperienced, arrogant, and displayed no actual clinical skills . Residential level of care and PHP were completely combined, and this made it impossible to do group therapy because of the different stages of change.
The director of nursing at the time was a textbook narcissist. There were some great nurses, but most left quickly for other facilities. Some of the nursing staff was inappropriate, incompetent, and downright scary. There were incidents of the clients being able to access the medication room due to improper supervision and locks which led to a nearly fatal overdose at the facility. There was a nurse that was grooming some of the teen girl clients.
