Pros

Reflecting on my time at Sandra Network, I recall the welcoming and supportive environment fostered by leaders like Sandra, who exemplified compassion and understanding, particularly in challenging situations. Moreover, the company's commitment to work-life balance was commendable. Employees had the flexibility to choose their shifts and were permitted to work remotely when necessary, contributing to a healthier integration of work and personal life. Regularly scheduled company events were enjoyable and contributed positively to team morale. While the training opportunities were somewhat limited, I appreciated the opportunity to obtain certifications, like Mimecast, which added value to my professional profile.

Cons

However, there were key areas where improvements could be made. I noticed occasional disparities in workload distribution, which sometimes impacted meeting billable hour quotas. Additionally, better documentation on infrastructure setups could streamline troubleshooting processes and improve efficiency. Exploring options for compensating or providing accrued time off for after-hours work could not only support employee well-being but also reinforce the company's commitment to fostering a healthy work-life balance. Limited career growth opportunities within the company also emerged as an area for improvement.

Pros

There were no pros, the occasional granola bar.

Cons

There was really no pro's about working here. There was zero training, expectations were not adequately set. You were expected to go from zero to 100 day one. There were constant struggles between the employees besting who had the bigger brain, and would rather argue about terms and stupid acronyms instead of helping train the new person. Working in a damp musky basement with almost zero airflow. Working out of someones private home, where there was only one rest room shared among her employees and family. dealing with her pets who were constantly around you and getting attacked by her cats on daily basis. Having to use an authentication app almost every minute because your being timed out of your ticket system and various applications. Zero health insurance!

My favorite part of our wonderful staff is how well they work together. We have a great team, all collaborating constantly to take care of our clients. In the IT world, it is impossible to know the answer to all problems, so to have the ability to put everyone’s heads together to solve unique issues is critical to our success, supporting so many business. I am sorry if the acronyms were not always clear to you. After being in the IT world as long as your resume stated, we were unaware that they would be all unfamiliar to you. The Authentication App is also annoying, I agree. However, with all that is out there in cyber land, we need to take every single precaution to protect our clients. Two factor authentication one of the methods we use to do this. The authentication App only kicks back in if you have been idle for a considerable amount of time, 8 hours I believe. It is rare in a working day that it kicks in a second time if you are active in assisting customers. Thank you for the compliments on the granola bar. You had a short list of foods that you could eat, so we were happy you found one out of the dozens of different kinds of snacks that are kept on hand for employees, along with coffee, tea, water, and a fridge full of assorted beverages. In the three short weeks you worked here, I am sorry you never appreciated Monday’s, when I bring in lunch for the staff from a different local restaurant each week. With regards to training, there was active training and certifications waiting for you with online courses. Unfortunately, unless you login and participate, it is not very informative. I am sorry you had a problem with Lucy, our office cat. As you well may know, as you told us of your 10 cats back at your house, when you have a pile of cat treats on your desk, and packets of cat nip hidden in your top drawer, cats will be more then interested in spending time with you. It is simple cat behavior. And lastly, with health insurance. When you joined us, it was clear in the offer letter that we did not have health insurance, but that we were in process of providing it to our employees. I am happy to say, as of August 1st, we can offer this to all of the employees. Regardless, you’re term with us as an employee was too short for this to be available to you.
