Very process driven company in a non-collaborative environment - Senior Manager Samsung Electronics Employee Review

I was hoping to join the world leader in consumer electronics but I quickly realised Samsung is an old family-owned manufacturing company. The working environment and tools are counter-productive and not collaborative, so you need to work more to achieve less than in a modern company (no wifi, old PCs, proprietary softwares, internet restrictions...) They don't empower their employees (all benefits, leaves etc. are minimal) and you constantly need to get approvals for anything you do. Lastly, if you're not Korean the ceiling glass is a reality, you won't grow any further than Manager level.
