Pros
The people who work at Samford are some of the nicest and genuine people I’ve ever met. There is a real sense of community. I felt work life balance was appreciated (by some) albeit with push back from the administration.
Cons
Very conservative culture, as to be expected. I felt very uncomfortable with some of the values held and displayed. Very top down, hierarchical leadership with little communication which is frustrating. If you require a culture of agility to perform well at your job you will not do well here.
