Pros

There are no pros that I had in my experience

Cons

I interviewed with Saltalk, completed their take home assessment while away on vacation in another country, and was given an offer for their Recruiter role. I signed the offer letter and given a start date for a little over a week out. The night previous to my start date, I received an email that due to "budget constraints" they were no longer able to move forward with the position. Extremely unprofessional, as they had adequate time to relay this information to me. I also replied to the email I received and never heard back from the team. I would not recommend putting your time into a company like this.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I genuinely value feedback, especially those that point out areas where we can improve. I wish these concerns had been communicated directly to us during and after your interview process with us, as it would have allowed us to address them head-on. I recognize that we’re a startup moving fast and that there’s always room for improvement. We always value feedback and will continue to push for excellence. Chewie Liu, Saltalk Team

Pros

I learned a tremendous amount during my time here — the personal and professional growth was unmatched. I had the privilege of working under founder and CEO Fred for nearly 4 years. He’s a true visionary, and his leadership had a profound impact on my career. The company has a strong family-oriented culture where people genuinely care about each other. It never felt like “just a job.” If I could go back to my early 20s, I’d choose to do it all over again — no hesitation.

Cons

None that come to mind.

Pros

There are barely any pros about working here. The team is cool but employee turnover is so high you’ll probably only know them for a month. You get free food but you have to pay for a portion of it.

Cons

The CEO is a prime example of what not to do as a leader. He couldn’t recognize good talent if it stood in front of him and spread his eyes wide open for him. Pay is horrible, hours are the worst, leadership is terrible.
