Pros

*Strong culture full of problem solvers, payroll aficionados, and software builders. *Lots of company growth. *Plenty of opportunities as we become more and more established. *Decent benefits. *Decent pay for the industry. *Off-site trips to other countries! *Amazing CEO and CTO.

Cons

*Busy startup - can be overwhelming at times as we go thru growing pains. *Benefits and pay could be a bit better, but not bad compared to the rest of the industry. *Roles can intertwine with other departments - we wear many hats at times.

Pros

Working at Salsa has overall been a great experience. One of the most compelling aspects is the opportunity to do impactful work—the projects I contribute to genuinely make a difference and have a visible effect on the company’s success. I’m surrounded by smart, driven people who challenge me to grow and bring innovative ideas to the table, making every day a learning experience. I also appreciate how much I’m empowered to own my work. There is a strong culture of trust and autonomy, allowing me to take full responsibility for my projects and make meaningful decisions. Additionally, the company genuinely has your back—in times of need, leadership is supportive, understanding, and willing to step in to help. This creates a collaborative and compassionate work environment where employees feel valued both personally and professionally.

Cons

While the work is fulfilling, it does come with long hours, especially during critical project phases. The high standards and fast-paced environment can demand extra time and energy. Another area for improvement is the lack of a clearly defined career path. Although there are opportunities to grow, the trajectory for advancement isn’t always clear-cut, which can make long-term career planning within the company a bit challenging.
