Safran only cares about the french people. Petitcolin was proud to say layoffs in the US - no layoffs in France. See article in Market Watch - it's a quote. Told the staff they would close by the end of the Year - BS -- it's this summer.
Safran Response
4y
Thank you so much for your honest and candid feedback. We're disappointed to hear that you feel as though we "only care about the French people". Safran promotes equality and genuinely value our employees in France and North America equally. We sincerely appreciate your hard work and wish you all the best.
People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.
Cons
The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.
Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units.
Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization.
Occasional overtime opportunities.
Cons
High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month.
Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs.
Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
