Pros

Company benefits are getting better, good work colleagues.

Cons

Negative working atmosphere with low morale across several departments. Many individuals are placed into management positions without the leadership or people management skills needed to effectively support their teams. The business also lacks proper project planning and organisation. Projects regularly fall behind schedule, which creates a culture of panic decision making and constant firefighting rather than structured, proactive management. Pay is poor compared to similar roles within the industry, especially considering the workload and expectations placed on employees.

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
