Pros

Good work-life balance compared to many IT/service companies. Stable organization with strong global reputation in aerospace and defense. Professional and supportive work environment.

Cons

Learning opportunities depend heavily on the team and manager. Limited exposure to cutting-edge development work in certain roles. Bond period may feel restrictive for early-career employees.

Pros

People are treated very well at Safran. They might not be the highest paying Aerospace company in the USA, but they have great benefits, management, and people. And still, the pay is usually competitive.

Cons

The headquarters are in France and therefore you need to be open to a different culture. Additionally, French and English are used sometimes in communications.

Pros

Many learning opportunities for troubleshooting different types of avian generator control units. Opportunities to work with a variety of engineering departments including production, test, quality, and industrialization. Occasional overtime opportunities.

Cons

High stress due to production deadlines, especially at the end of month. Miscommunications due to constant reprioritizing of needs. Difficult to move from short term (1 year+ only) contracts to full time positions.
