Pros

Decent pay but you have to work long hours to make it worth your while.

Cons

Safety procedures and PPE requirements coming from somewhere other than the south. To have to wear an FR shirt, a welding jacket and then sleeves plus an apron to weld flat material (not overhead) in the heat and humidity of the south is outrageous. Come August people will be falling out left and right. Also who dreamed up using these safety glasses with the foam gaskets to seal against your face. Does anyone realize we spend more time wiping them down because in the south they stay fogged up. No common sense whatsoever!
