Pros
Hours are 9 - 5 with approximately 45 min to a 1 hour lunch break. You’re only expected to clock out if you leave the building. So how does any thing get done? The technicians are just that good and I have to believe are well compensated for it. I believe I am. There are separate cubbies for each bench but the wall separations are low enough to see across the room. The expert wax technician has various rooms he uses to complete his tasks including a stainless steel counter top that spans the width of the main room. There is a polish and rhodium room and a casting room as well as a 3d printer room. Management is immersed into the details of each and every job so you’re never really stranded. Since the workload is typically well pressed to capacity , if you ever have questions on a job you’re asked to see the manager first. Luckily this supervisor has working knowledge of their own but also current knowledge of who shines in specific areas of expertise and how interrupting that person will affect production. In receiving guidance from any coworkers I have always been treated with openness and respect for my skills and suggestions are only meant to add to the repertoire of my skills. I must say this is a great place to work.
Cons
Finishing standards are predictably high as you might expect from a company that makes hinged closures barely noticeable . I’ve had some of my best refinishing efforts kicked back to me for issues . I ask where? Then I ‘m handed A 10X triplet that our industry uses to grade diamonds. Even excellent can be improved but I am happy to continue to learn.
