Pros
What initially drew me to Strait was the ability to carve my own path - driving my own success at my rate and not being limited based on tenure or title. During my employment, I have seen this in action as one of the keystones of the firm. We are invited to contribute our ideas, suggest improvements, and lead projects that interest us and support our professional and personal growth. And while we work hard, we have a lot of fun too. Our CEO has set a "people first" tone and culture that includes celebrations for personal events (weddings, baby showers, birthdays) and professional successes (obtaining a certification, winning an award or landing a promotion). We take an annual bus trip to our firm's lake house and we spend 12 hours volunteering each year. We play pranks on one another, tell jokes, and laugh a lot every day. It makes coming to work really fun and something that I look forward to each day.
Cons
We have lots of good ideas (HR, BD, etc) and sometimes they don't all get rolled out at once or they take longer to complete. With our growth, we have to focus on clients first. That can mean that some of our internal initiatives like revamping our internal handbook take longer than expected.
