Pros

Sadly I can’t think of any. I would love to say r the remote aspect is great but the micromanagement of it is not.

Cons

There are so many but I will keep it short. Leadership- it is a toxic environment that feeds on drama. They all speak poorly about one another and hate the CEO but when he is on- it’s a contest for who can outshine one another. Workload- it is unreasonable for one person. It’s not a wonder that everyone keeps leaving. The expectation is “always on”. They prey on younger people to “get ahead” and be part of the “hustle culture”. The positive review is 1000000% from the HR team which is the most unprofessional individual I have ever been around. She doesn’t even know the simplest HR laws and seems flustered when you ask a simple question.

STAGE3 AGENCY Response

I normally would not intervene and write a response to this type of comment, but this is your second review about our agency and as CEO I feel compelled to correct the misinformation you are spreading about us. I've been in the agency world for over 30 years and I can tell you no agency is devoid of issues and gossip, but to casually categorize our agency as toxic is completely irresponsible. We work with an incredible creative team with support from account and project management teams. We see the agency as providing an incredible opportunity for creatives to learn and grow in their craft, working with the very best brands in the world. I cannot be more proud of the team and the accomplishments we achieve together. If my hunch is correct, we parted ways last year due to unacceptable and erratic behavior we observed. I sincerely hope you can move on and be an agent of positive change to the people around you. Be well.

Pros

Stage3 Agency is by far the most ingenious and talented agency I have worked for.  Leadership takes a genuine interest in the employees success and growth, and always inspires continued excellence.  The work is always of the highest quality, produced by an intensely talented team.  The culture is fun and vibrant, with leadership and staff playing active roles in maintaining open communication and collaboration.

Pros

Creative projects are typically fun to work on. The Content, VFX, and Design teams are full of great people to work with. WFH 5 days a week was convenient, and they didn't require in-office days. Health benefits are typically fully covered.

Cons

The company structure is heavily bottlenecked because the founder has total control on everything. He acts as the CEO, CFO, Creative Director, and Head of Production all at once. Stunts any professional growth or upward movement. There are issues with certain people being put into management roles without the right qualifications or emotional stability. They contribute to a hostile work environment. Salaries tend to run about 15% below the industry average. On top of that, they don't start contributing to your 401k until you have been there for a full year. Most companies match or allow you to contribute immediately. Annual reviews lack any real, open dialogue -- the rating system is skewed by a scale that forces you to undervalue yourself. Management is not receptive to market-rate negotiations. If you try to advocate for fair pay, the response is defensive and came with threatening comments about my job security.
