Pros
I worked at the Day Institute. It was a great learning experience to work with the neurological population. Patient population was very interesting and higher level since it was the next step up from in patient rehab. Lots of great therapists and teamwork environment with OT, ST, and PT.
Cons
Corporate Healthcare and high volume patients. During busy months, we were doubled, tripled, and when it was really bad, quadrupled with complex neurological patients that would really have benefitted from one-on-one therapy instead of constant groups. Recently, there was a mass exodus of therapists because of the high volume/census and lack of support from management. I burnt out within the first year of my career from the shear demand placed on each therapist.
