Pros
Salary is the best. Safety training is good then downhill from there. Mancamp food is good. Coworkers are generally impressive.
Cons
No job training. No mentors despite program on paper. Green hats learning from green hats. Terrible communication - never knew my flight info until the last minute, never knew I had to bring my own tools, no one told me I would work with Cesium 137 radioactive source for density meter until I got there. Also they would not give me a dosimeter badge. Boss would generally not answer questions - would say 2 words then walk away. Parts needed for repair not available. Less electrical tech and more heavy diesel mechanic. Never had enough paper towels. Waiting for Arkoma van ate up any free time. Falsely accused of things totally made up. Guy gossip worse than girl gossip. Always tired with head nods all day. They deleted my employee record and training - HR unresponsive as they sent me to TX - so my card didnt work to get in building, no email to see flight info, etc. No lockers available. Management obsessed with cleaning floor then looks like trash dump again the next day. Was sent to field with no headset radio (!). No laptop available for booking my own flights as was expected. Crazy work schedule flipping days/nights. Always being setup to fail. Boss seemed smart but was not really interested in training or sharing knowledge, just expected me to find work and do it - oil field industry culture? Helped mechanics mostly.
