The villagers are the best!

No cons that I can think of

Beautiful opportunity to engage with adults needing day to day care. Great landscaping opportunity, if that is your interest. There are some amazing adults you get to interact with daily.

I can honestly say this is the worst job I have ever had. You must be prepared for a TERRIBLE lifestyle. Be prepared to have conversations listened to by peers and reported to management. Very Dark Ages religious attitude by management that is expected to be adhered to (anti-internet info, anti-sexual expression, Fascist workhouse like daily work environment). Cult-like tactics used to keep personal time to next to nothing. I feel so sorry for those people who are placed in the care of this facility. There are some truly amazing people that live here, but given the dead-end style lifestyle work there provides, the employee population mainly consists of adults who have given up their hopes and dreams and are just glad to have a roof over their heads. The care this type of employee can give is minimal at best and the direct management is more involved with getting into people's personal lives than providing an uplifting atmosphere for people to live in.
