Pros
I liked the freedom to actually do research. I could bring up ideas without dealing the long chain of hierarchy and people really did listen. My manager and upper team checked in often enough so I didn't feel stuck. Everything moved quick when a good concept surfaced. Support came fast. Best part was I didn't have to drown in endless documentation to get started. Definitely not the usual big corp experience.
Cons
The company was growing, some internal processes hadn’t caught up yet, so there were moments where things felt a bit disorganized. Work-life balance was generally okay, but during big pushes or deadlines, the workload could spike
