Pros
There's a nice garden area outside of the office.
Cons
As an organization SEEDS has been in constant transition for the past 8+ years, which is no surprise considering they are extremely broke and disorganized. Programmatically, the mediation program is a hot mess. There were plenty of negative reviews posted from past employees that could better outline that sentiment, however, they were "magically" filtered upon arrival of the newest Executive Director. Culturally, staff was constantly undermining one another, and the gossip was palpable and really toxic. There is an old-school, hierarchal, and implicitly Racist work environment. Perhaps because the organization has explicitly expressed a disinterest in racial equity? Please keep in mind, everyone in leadership (including most of the board) are white folks who have been working in "conflict resolution" for quite some time. I believe Fania Davis said it best, "SEEDS hemorrhages people of color". If you're thinking of applying, regardless of your background- good luck, you may very well need it.
