Pros
Good benefits package. Opportunity to wear multiple hats and gain experience quickly. Fast-paced environment with exposure to many areas of the business. Coworkers at the individual contributor level were supportive and hardworking. The new facility is clean and modern.
Cons
SDC had tremendous potential, but the company has struggled with consistent direction and long-term strategy. Frequent leadership changes and shifting priorities have created uncertainty across the organization. Critical positions have been eliminated while other leadership roles have remained in place despite ongoing challenges. The decision-making process often appears inconsistent, making it difficult to understand the company's priorities. Since the private equity acquisition, the culture has become increasingly political, with a stronger focus on financial outcomes than on employees or sustainable growth. Morale has noticeably declined, and many talented people have left or been let go. There are still dedicated employees who genuinely care about the company's success, but they deserve clearer leadership, greater transparency, and a more consistent vision for the future.
