My experience:
- Generally average to below average compensation. They try to underpay and then promise a large bonus, but this just means your income is conditional and they can push you harder.
- Key people leave because they do not have a path to becoming Associates.
- Subdivision is the bread and butter of SCS. If you are not in that group you will have significantly less help. I was an engineer but I had to format all my drawings, format my reports, setup CAD drawings etc. A lot of low-level administrative tasks.
- Stressful environment. If you do not produce results within budget, you do not keep your job. There is definitely a burnout culture.
- No HR team or in-house IT support.
