Pros

4 day week, Flexible on holidays

Cons

Micro management to an unbelievable level. Constant "you need to do more", despite being in the top 3 performers month on month. Have to provide the vast majority of work materials yourself, you also pay the cost. You cannot claim expenses for anything else other than fuel, and if the office admin person thinks its too much €30 per week you have to reduce it. All movements are tracked, the time driving, time in the vehicle and time with customers. Expected to do a high volume of daily administration including reporting the same information in 3 different systems, one CRM, one paper and one Teams forum. Every agreement you must get in writing as the management happily and frequently suffer from short term memory loss. Management frequently talk about other staff including divulging personal private work and personal related information.

Pros

Weekly Pay, reimbursed transport, on time salary.

Cons

I would never recommend this company. It has to be the worst company I have ever worked for. They attract you with weekly pay, reimbursed transport costs and a lot of other benefits that come in after 6 months and a certain amount of sales (You won’t get that far). They lie in interviews and recruitment events. They say that they help with training and have the possibility of growth. However, training is very minimal, they yell at you if you have any questions and promotions aren’t a thing because the turnover rate at this company is incredibly high. No one has gotten a promotion. Either you will leave or you will get fired because their targets are unrealistic and unachievable. You’re always put under pressure and your results are based on luck and not strategy. You won’t learn anything about sales because management use old school sales tactics that don’t work. When you do use their advice, it has no effect but yet somehow it’s your fault that people aren’t interested. Field sales is incredibly difficult and Flogas horrible reputation. A simple google search will tell you that. Which makes selling their service even more difficult. If you really want to get into sales, SCL isn’t the place. You will only get discouraged and be miserable and any advice or observations will be ignored. As well as this you probably won’t stay long enough to learn sales the proper way. I really regret having joined this company and there’s far worse I could say about this company. But be cautious if you want to join and there’s far better companies where you can really learn about sales if this is the industry you want to go to.

Pros

Great company with a strong brand presence. There’s a lot of autonomy if you're hitting your targets, and it’s backed by FloGas—a well-known brand that many people recognise at the door, even if they don’t immediately associate it with energy. The customer base is still relatively small as they're fairly new to the energy market, but there’s real potential. I’d definitely return if I go back into the door-to-door sector.

Cons

Raising the base salary to at least €34k for seasoned door-to-door reps would help attract and keep quality talent.
