Pros
Opportunity to develop is there, just need to know the right people Team is friendly
Cons
As a Grad felt that salaries were extremely low for the volume of work we do. You are often given tasks with deadlines which extend outside the working hour and but are told to work till 5pm. Says we work in Marketing, but I did barely any, it's more trade marketing than customer marketing- its all POS and digital, not the creative side at all Salaries are very low and is a trend repeated in any role you go into at SCJ. Spend a large amount of time doing admin roles, I would 60% of my role was sending samples, finish POs and Forms, setting up for Brand Day. The tasks and opportunity for development I had to fight for. HR is inefficient and at times too rigid, they enforce rules which make little to no sense, and are based on feelings rather than practicality. During my time, HR would make me come down and take photos of new starters- I was stationed in Marketing, this is not in my remit.
