Pros

It's close to UCSB so it's a good job for students, and the work itself is pretty easy. You get retail experience as well as behind the scenes printing and graphic design experience.

Cons

The way I got my hours every week was to text my manager the morning of and ask him when they needed me. It was a flexible schedule, but not on my side as much as on their side. Combined with the condescension from the manager and the lack of understanding about the advertisement and customer service lacks of the company, it made for an unpleasant working environment.

Pros

Decent wages and benefits, opportunity for advancement into a managerial position, good onboard training and thoughtful coworkers and manager. Manager was even willing to help cover costs of education in reference to design work, if took on a full-time position where graphic design would be involved.

Cons

Not very good air conditioning in a space that gets hot in summer. Pay could be a bit more competitive for full-time employees. Manager can be a bit blunt and sarcastic, but is also very generous and good-hearted.
