Pros
I loved my team. My upper manager was truly amazing — she did her best to support us and keep us motivated, even in a constantly changing and often chaotic work environment.
Cons
There were many, but the biggest issue was the disorganized structure. Because of the rigid and hierarchical setup, it took ages for projects to reach decision-makers. We weren’t allowed to communicate with higher-ups, so even projects that my team and I completed on our own were never presented by us. That made it especially difficult to get our point across in an already siloed organization.
This structure also prevented the creation of clear, cohesive agendas. Poor communication meant we were often assigned to projects that ended up being the wrong ones due to misunderstandings.
Everything moved incredibly slowly. We’d spend weeks on a project, only to discover that another team had already worked on the same thing. This happened so often that people were hesitant to share what they were working on — there was a constant fear that someone would "steal" your job or idea.
Would not recommend.
