Pros
I’ve been with the company for a while now, and my experience has been nothing like the negative review. Upper management actually comes on site for project walks, OAC meetings, and team check-ins. They’re also responsive — I’ve had calls and emails answered the same day, even after hours when it mattered.
The field leaders I’ve worked with are experienced and supportive. Do personalities clash sometimes? Sure, like anywhere. But I’ve never seen anyone get pushed down for knowing their stuff. Usually new hires are mentored and given chances to step up.
HR is also engaged and does get involved when issues are raised. It’s not a “don’t bother” situation at all.
And for subcontractors — payments go out as soon as owners release funds. That’s the nature of the industry, and this company plays it straight.
What I’ve noticed is that most people here succeed if they’re willing to be part of a team. The only ones who seem to struggle are the ones who come in with control issues and can’t work collaboratively. That’s not a company problem — that’s an individual problem.
Overall, the picture painted in that review just doesn’t line up with reality. This has been a good place to grow and build a career.
Cons
Hours can be long at times, especially when deadlines are tight — but that’s typical of construction everywhere.
