Pros

Paycheck, coffee shop, close to restaurants

Cons

Old school, “my way or the highway” mentality. No opportunity for advancement in marketing unless you’re friends with the “right” people, do as you’re told, don’t question anything, and socialize/golf. Occasionally someone is thrown a bone if mgmt has no other options. Really talented people have quit because no matter what they do, the favorites got promoted time and time again over people with more talent and experience. It’s uncomfortable to watch and morale is in the toilet. People have left in record numbers in the last 12 months and almost all from the marketing department. More are on the way out. Hmmmm.... Maybe all the departures are indicative of something??

Cons

Below industry base pay, recent uncertainty of bonus achievement, flat growth, influx of oversight by parent company (less entrepreneurial spirit), recent reductions in force.
