Pros
If you take on more work, you will receive more work—no questions asked. In this office, there are EMs who claim to be leaders, but they do not embody true leadership qualities. These so-called leaders often take over others’ offices, come to work just to showcase their numerous meetings, engage in micromanagement, and exert constant pressure on employees regarding deadlines. A couple of EMs do not know how to talk to employees. This environment is toxic, with no real advantages. Cardekho and Rupyy have different workplace cultures, so do not base your decision to join the company solely on Cardekho reviews.
Cons
Recently, the CEO has instructed the tech team to adhere strictly to office timings from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. While you can arrive early, leaving early is not permitted, which raises concerns. Leadership is a significant issue here, from the top CXO level down to new managers. If you enjoy internal politics, this is the place for you. They have a standardized appraisal process that does not evaluate everyone at once. Instead, they provide small appraisals every six months to keep employees engaged. Those who are part of the team will understand this approach. A few engineering managers have been promoted with the primary purpose of terminating employees. Recently, the team experienced significant layoffs, affecting senior members of the QA team, several developers who weren't close to the engineering managers, and newly hired product team members. This is not a tech-first team. I hate to say it, but the CEO seems unaware of what is happening within the tech team, especially after the promotions of a couple of engineering managers. Many employees are now considering resignation due to the cultural issues present. Do not trust HR team, take everything in writing. They make fake promises, work for managers not for all employees.
