Pros

Royal Caribbean offered me the opportunity to utilize a number of different skills working with a number of different departments on a daily basis. The most rewarding was the recognition and frequent promotions that I experienced moving from a shipboard career quickly up to management and then in to the shoreside office.

Cons

I found for me personally it was very hard to establish a work life balance. I was constantly traveling, which I LOVED, but it makes it very difficult to build a life. As well, Miami is a difficult town to move to and build a network if you are not originally from there.

Pros

The people - hardworking, honest and like family. The vision of the company - groundbreaking and innovative The benefits - cruise benefits for employees & friends and family Work from home Fridays Week off in December for the holidays Little Cruisers onsite daycare

Cons

Little to no flexibility in work hours. They preach a work life balance but then send out weekly "clock in/clock out" reports to supervisors, making a big deal if you are not logging your 8 hours in the office, but then do not take into account the afterhours that are being put in at home, sometimes on vacation and while traveling for work.
