Pros
Great cause, some talented employees, great benefits, excellent work life balance and decent pay for a non profit. Rotary's members are passionate about their work and can be fun to work with. General Secretary John Hewko is a good leader and a nice guy with good intentions and I think he's trying to lead the company in the right direction.
Cons
Where to begin...Rotary hires such talented people with tons of experience to fill lower-level coordinator/specialist jobs. People at the management level have been there for years, leaving no room for advancement for lower-level employees who are well qualified for management positions. The talented young people (many of whom are fairly recent hires) will all leave once they put in a couple years and realize there's absolutely no way to move up. I'm not even the lowest on the totem pole and I have a boss, who has a boss, who has a boss, who has a boss...
