Pros
Work from Home Autonomy in work No yealry bonuses, but opportunities' for overtime through handling additional 1st look estimates (leads to increased supplemental handling) They paid $50 per estimate that was completed. Easy way to make money but you do pay for it during the week once supps roll in.
Cons
Call Volume, unclear guideline and processes. Newer start up company and rules and policies are always changing. The company over pays its claims to avoid the potential legal battles and escalations that come with saying no. Company has no field presence so they fold to the body shops and vendors and over pay on ridiculously high claims. This company is so new and is not respected in the industry. This leads to adversarial customers and repair professionals. There are no bonuses. Look up the company they had a massive lay off years ago and have been spending time restaffing due to new volume. But you can also look up its balance sheet and you will see that Root has operated at a loss for years. This is one of the reasons for no bonuses because they are not profitable. Once you learn the job and process can get bored very quickly. For me it was hard because there was no opportunities to move up or shadow. Not many places to move or grow
