Pros
Rodney Hunt is an exciting, growing company and since I have been here I have seen the office expand several times and I am excited to be a part of that growth. It is a fast paced workplace so if that's not your strong suit, you may face challenges. I am at an early stage of my career and i want to experience multiple learning opportunities, both in my direct line of work and in related roles to get cross trained. They offer a 100% matching 401K which I didn't have at my previous job. I also got paid employee healthcare from Blue Cross Blue Shield at a discounted rate, which saved me money. I have been to multiple client meetings all over the US and got to see mechanical equipment being installed at various job sites. I have attended many Industry conferences which was a great networking opportunity. This is a place you can have a career as opposed to a job as i have seen several employees work at Rodney Hunt for decades and that is encouraging to me as I look at job security as well in any career opportunity.
Cons
Its a smaller company so you do get many hands on learning opportunities. The company respects work life balance which is important to me. If i can think of a negative, as a smaller company they do not seem to have many procedures in place but i think as a growing company that may be growing pains. I prefer to focus on the positive things i can benefit from at an early stage of my career to help me advance to a leadership role as my career evolves
