Pros
The intern program is well designed - there are company wide intern events and experiences, such as an intern innovation challenge. However, your individual projects and day to day experiences are determined by your manager and mentor. I had a lot of interesting projects that offered me a huge variety of experience, and I felt as though I was able to contribute to the company and learn a lot.
Cons
Because of my location, a large number of the meetings that I had with managers and other employees were over skype, so I didn't feel as though I was able to make as many face to face connections.
